No Need to Say Goodbye. . .

So this weekend, I decided to do a little DIY decor for Kendall Kay. She just redecorated her room, and it is amazing. Wanted to give her some more decor for the walls! I found this wooden wall decor at one of my favorite thrift stores. I love finds like these!!!!! I did a post about the "Rise & Shine" canvas I did for my bathroom about a month ago, so there are more directions on how to create this, but I just wanted to show you the project I did this weekend! So exciting, hope you are enjoying the rest of this fall season!
From this. . .
To this! It turned out lovely. Kendall Kay loves Regina Spektor, so I used lyrics from her song "The Call." And I absolutely loved this picture of her and her boyfriend Austin. So precious. I can't wait to give it to her!
Two of my most favorite people. . . Love them to death.

Moments with the Yeomans Family. . .

Meet the Yeomans Family. I had a shoot with them last Saturday, and we had oh so much fun. They are like my second family, and I love each of them to death. Kendall Kay of August is my best friend. Not sure what I would do without her. And this is her lovely family! Hope you enjoy a couple of these! More to come as always.

Oh What a Lovely Drive. . .

Today was an absolutely beautiful day to enjoy being outside. . . A friend told me to take a drive up to Paris Mountain, and it was such a wonderful idea. The trees were slowly turning to all sorts of colors, and it was just breath-taking. It was breezy and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. . . I was just blown away by my Father's beauty. What an amazing God we serve! Hope you are enjoying this time of year, it is absolutely gorgeous.

A Chili and Cornbread kind of night. . .

I made this recipe a couple weeks ago and absolutely fell in love! It was oh so yummy. What a perfect idea for a cool fall night! It was so easy to make, and the chili is only 100 calories per serving with 14g of protein! I'm trying to cut back on calories and this is a perfect meal to make. Yum yum, hope you enjoy!

Black Bean and Pork Tenderloin Slow Cooker Chili
1 1/2 pounds pork tenderloin, cut into 2
inch strips
1 small onion, coarsely chopped
1 small red bell pepper, coarsely chopped
3 (15 ounce) cans black beans
1 (16 ounce) jar salsa
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon ground cumin
2 teaspoons chili powder

Combine pork tenderloin, onion, red pepper, black beans, salsa, chicken broth, oregano, cumin, and chili powder in a slow cooker. Set to Low and cook for 8 to 10 hours. Break up pieces of cooked pork to thicken the chili before serving.

Cornbread Muffins
1 can cream corn (use about 3/4 of a large can)
1 (11 oz.) can sweet corn (Green Giant Niblets)
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 box of Krusteaz Cornbread Mix (17.5 oz.)
Sprinkle of marjoram spice

Combine and pour into greased muffin pans. Bake at 350* for 40-45 minutes or until tops are lightly brown.

Lace Journals. . .

This month has been just a tiny bit crazy... I am so behind with posting recipes and ideas! So I had a little free time today and wanted to catch up after all the craziness this month. I did these journals about a month ago and have thought of so many ideas for them!!!!! I am getting excited. These were super easy to make. I just pretty much sewed lace over the cardstock and added some little touches. I've used this journal a lot recently to write down thoughts and inspirations. And of course ideas for all the shoots I've been doing! Sometime life gets crazy, but it has been an amazing month. Can't wait to post more pictures and ideas! Happy Fall :)

"I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home." -The Vow

Just was working on some of these pictures from my very first wedding shoot this weekend! I was so amazed by how much fun it was to be apart of such a big celebration. Beth was an absolutely beautiful bride, and I am so happy for these two. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Mark Hayes!!!!! MANY more to come, this is just the beginning.

DIY Tie Headbands. . .

A tutorial for the easiest project EVER. Takes me 5 minutes to make these, so fun for gifts and what not! Hope you have as much fun making these as I did!
Let's do the fun part first, pick out an amazing tie! I got mine at a thrift store. Somehow that just makes them 100% way better!
Here is how you make the stretchy part for the back. . . take two hair ties, and intertwine them to make a knot like the steps above show.
Measure the tie on your head to get a perfect fit. Remember to do it a little tighter so that the back of the headband can be tight enough to stay close to your head. Then you will cut off the thin part of the end of the tie. "Thread" it through the hair ties, and fold up. Make the tips triangle like this. Sew a zig-zag stitch back and forth over each side to hold in place.
Do this for both sides.
And here you go! An AMAZINGLY easy craft, I use my headbands all the time. Especially on those days that you just need to clean the house and put your hair up. Love love love, hope you enjoy.
Here are two that I made! It is SO much fun to pick different patterns.
Haha and here are just some random captures. Happy Weekend :)

Baked Apple Chips. . .

Fall is finally here!!!!! Oh my, how I love apple season. Means so much more baking and cooking, love love love. I actually found this on A Beautiful Mess by Elsie and Emma. They have an incredible blog, check it out! But I just absolutely LOVED this recipe, and decided to share! Hope you enjoy and have a happy Monday!
First, pick out 2-4 beautiful apples. Mine are fresh picked from Sky Top Orchard, yummy goodness! Then preheat your oven to 350*.
The next part is to THINLY slice the apples, it is difficult and they may not be perfectly thin the first couple of tries. It takes practice! You will soak them in 4 cups of either apple juice or water, and 1 tsp of cinnamon. Water saves on the sugar, and since I am attempting to be more healthy this fall, I went with the water.
Now you will get a baking pan and line it with a cooling rack. This helps the heat cover every apple slice and dries it out faster. You will bake your apples at 350* for about 30 minutes. After this, you will take the apples out, turn the oven off and let it cool. After the oven has cool, put the pan back in for 6-8 minutes to dry them out even more. Then your apples are ready! Put them in an air tight container to keep out moisture, and most importantly, enjoy this little fall snack! Thanks again to Elsie and Emma for this recipe!
